Just Being Me :
I just left this exact position after just a year. I had high hopes for it but the manager…..she ruined it just by being her. She wanted to see our emails to edit them before they got sent out. 😳

I had this done to me and I could not get a single thing done. It was so frustrating and then the manager would complain about me not getting things done when she was the problem.

I believe I lasted roughly 1 month at the last place I had a micromanager, I knew before the first day was up and the rest of the time was me figuring out a next step

yeah they tried to do this with me and I had to leave, it was getting more and more toxic as the days were passing by

Very well said. Micromanaging doesn’t work for me is like the rebellious side of me comes out and I give them exactly what they want no more than that.

I agree, and unfortunately, large corporations who operate their businesses on metrics and measuring success on metrics requires that level of micromanaging

I’ve walked out on good paying jobs on account of Micromanaging after I told the new manager “that wasn’t necessary” & he kept doing it.

I had 3 different managers try to fire me. HR decided they don’t care for lawsuits. So I am still here and those 3 are gone. I don’t like being bullied.

Yes! Can say this is 100% true. We have to change this. Managers should not be titled Managers but leaders, to lead their team forward and manage their teams.
