Should be two separate events. Wave Pool Surfing and Beach Surfing. And get rid of the time limit in beach surfing.

Idk anything about surfing, but it should be in the same beach every time. Keeps it fair and choose some place with regular waves or something

For real. Everytime I switched to Olympic surfing they were just sitting in the water for 10 minutes. Couldn’t do it. So boring.

Honestly the solution is simple. Set a minimum amount of waves for each competitor to hit, and it takes as long as it takes

In wave pool it’s always the same waves but in spot the wave can be defferent and you have to get the perfect position for it this is surf. But i agre with what you said about this olympique

If the host country has a wave like chopes you run it in the ocean. There’s no replacement. Wave pools make sense for places that don’t have a wave. Or as a back up. Or two comps.
