guuuurl. I work for a school. so summer. I dont work but I do get unemployment. i applied for assistance. first I qualified. then when my 300 unemployment check hit. it sent me over the limit. 😟

I’m in Canada. I’m in exactly same boat. Make too much to qualify but not enough to pay crazy rents. Salaries not gone up in over 10 years. I’ve even changed jobs. If anything salaries ridiculous low

for those of you who are barely over the limit, work a half hour less (whatever would equal the dollar amount that you need) and go back in 4 weeks with those stubs, if the benefit is worth it!

this is so ridiculously true. I had a house fire last year and I have 3 kids. I didn't qualify for help then and I don't now and things are so hard. one agency even suggested I quit my job. like wth

My sister needed food assistance back in the day so she didn’t go in CC debt feeding her kids. They denied her for making $20 over the limit and told her to have another child or reduce her hours.
