@chasseurdesons: The “purr” of bees 🐝 I met Naomie, founder of La Ruchette, a beekeeping company based in Quebec. She introduced me to her job, showing me her hives and sharing a series of anecdotes. La Ruchette offers the equipment needed for beekeeping, as well as training courses to help amateur beekeepers become self-sufficient. La Ruchette also specializes in queen rearing. During my visit, I recorded low-pitched sounds similar to purring. They range between 150 and 550 Hz on the spectrogram. I read that this purring could be considered a form of communication between the bees regarding the general state of the hive.
