our dog did that and thank God she knew to get someone for help. it was just the gas on and she begged someone to go look. she also warned of a fire in the basement and saved the house. she's the best

When I first moved into my house I never even thought to take the handles off. Until I came home from work to a house full of gas bc my dog did that. I’m very lucky.

Woke up once randomly at like 2am when my kids were little to find the entire kitchen living and dining smelled SO strongly of propane gas. The cat got on the stove... I take them off now.

For those w these kinds of knobs- i bought baby guards for mine, my cat one time accidentally turned one on when i wasnt home and it scared the s*** out of me. Like $10 on amazon!
