I'm pretty sick of people using their mental illness (BPD) as an excuse. I know people with BPD, some who don't use it as an excuse, and people who use it to manipulate.

Her manic episode is a reason but shouldn't be an excuse. She has to face the consequences. She cheated, might've been because of the condition but her partner is not obligated to stay.
