Replying to @nopenothanksbye The insult that Randall calls Mike in "Monsters, Inc," isn't an insult... it's the outdated medical term for me, specifically. A person who was born with hypothyroidism, which can cause severe intellectual disabilities if left untreated. And I was introduced to what I was born with in a TLC documentary in 2013 when they dragged a Brazilian woman named Maria Aldenete from Brazil to the United States to perform non therapeutic human experimentation on her in the name of "anti-aging" science to say WOW SHE HAS HYPOTHYROIDISM. Which was a thing I wasn't well educated on growing up, so I was surprised to see someone with it, untreated. the rest is a long story, but when I looked up the definition of "cretin" was when I connected the insult in "monsters inc" to the developmental disabilities of cretinism, because leave it to humanity to come up with a slur to insult disabled people with. And I found out recently that rhey can give hypothyroidism to kids. so... the truth is more horrifying than I could have possibly imagined. because, here we are in the year 2025 where MIT have admitted with their whole chest that they have established genetic techniques to inhibit brain development. So i'm gonna say this with mine: what I was born with is the oldest known ESTABLISHED genetic technique to inhibit brain development. but if they're using an 's,' that means plural and that means they've developed more than one technique to inhibit brain development. thank you for coming to my TED talk. #monstersinc #mikewazowski #mit #bodyoids #mynameisrussell "Ethically sourced 'spare' human bodies could revolutionize medicine" Human “bodyoids” could reduce animal testing, improve drug development, and alleviate organ shortages.
