Moreover, it's essential to improve law enforcement training. Officers should be equipped with the skills to handle GBV cases sensitively, fostering trust and encouraging victims to come forward. Community engagement is also vital; public awareness campaigns can educate citizens about GBV and empower local communities to take action. Establishing fast-track courts for GBV cases can ensure timely justice, while gender sensitivity training for judges will improve the overall handling of these cases. Lastly, implementing robust data collection and research initiatives is necessary to understand the prevalence of GBV and the effectiveness of our legal framework. By prioritizing these reforms, I believe Ethiopia can create a safer environment for all its citizens, particularly women, and foster a culture of respect and equality.
