I’m glad my mom taught me that once you get a pet then that pet stays with you no matter the circumstances because they are family and people don’t abandon family when things gets hard

there are 2 valid reasons: 1 the owner getting deadly alergic 2 not being able to take good care of it (because of health elderly or no money)

I mean the “owner passed away” one is a valid reason I’d say? Not everyone in the family (if they have any) can take on animals for their own personal reasons and maybe they think it’s the best thing for them as they know some shelters will try and find them the best homes and they feel it’s not them or physically cannot.
