This is why I only have velvet furniture. But you can buy nail caps or plastic stick on covers to stick to the sides

if u have a 2 bedroom make the 2nd one partially the cat room and keep them in there majority of time

Nail caps called “soft paws” aren’t bad for them they do only last a month so you’ll have to keep doing it - someone in the vet field ((: hope this helps

Put clear tape on the corners/spots they scratch they hate how it has no traction for their claws!!

Get a fabric shaver. Unfortunately they probably won’t stop scratching it or they have clear things you can stick on the couch. Don’t get those claw covers

They need more stimulation. Get them a cat tree with lots of climbing and scratching. More Wall scratchers, more toys, and get a scratch pad that goes on the side of ur couch.

They make these clear plastic that goes on the sides of the couch on Amazon!! Highly suggest that is what I use and it works!

they sell a spray called yuck to detour them from it. it smells horrible but it works
