My speech therapist had prizes for us. I loved them. I vividly remember this small basket I picked and this glass mosaic candle holder that I still have!!

My daughter realised at 4 that she was pronouncing ‘r’ as ‘w’. She asked her teacher to help, & her idea was for my daughter to pretend she was a growling dog to make the sound. It worked!

I feel like R is the hardest letter to pronounce in English, like, there's a lot that has to go on to produce that sound.

I have a lisp but the one with 'sh' sounds. Kids asked me if I had a retainer in when I was like 7. But in my speech therapy we played games. I just had to say the word right to take my turn.
