i’m a creative strategy director at my org and i’m having a hard time figuring out how to market myself freelance to get to those feats of collaboration etc. i think especially because i don’t have

I really appreciate your response! So on top of getting into an agency/small brand, I should…. Keep looking for freelance opportunities and become dangerous with Figma, adobe suite, CapCut, etc??

I did this but it was in animation, video games, and marketing. Now I’m freelancing brand design and selling fonts. What a ride lol

That was the path I took when I started. ~5 years with agencies as employee or contract. Then in-house for 5 while freelancing on side. Far better than in-house for huge company right away imo

Tbh not true at all in post 2019 corp world. Ive worked agency client and partner side. I was running a $260m annual media budget with a team of 6. Plus so many benefits that are too much to explain

Totally agree!! Those smaller but established agencies and brands (10-50 ppl) are small enough where you learn and do a ton, but not so risky that you have to worry

This right here is gold! Great content 💯 I would add one thing. While you are on your journey, remember to treat people with respect and GSD! Being a great creative is not good enough.
