My contract hours end at 3:30. 7th grade dismissal is at 3:28. I let my students go at 3:30 if they haven’t been dismissed. Thankfully, the rest of the teachers do as well.

My admin has hinted multiple times that teachers just stay over OR that she stays over a lot. Ma'am, that's not my problem. 3:30 hits and I'm out.

This has been a line I have had to fight my colleague to understand and respect. They dont have an issue staying late, so because I'm single, I should be ok with that too. This year, I haven't been staying as late. It's my time, I want to enjoy it!
