Correct me if I'm wrong but shouldn't you keep heat on that weld and bring the temp down slowly to release tension so that it doesn't end up cracking again?

going to Crack again. I don't understand why everyone always waves them big welds they don't hold that long.. Stringer welds would be a stronger welds for that job
