Time stamps. The original would have 1 copy of all activated abilities on the field. The copy would have 2 copies of all activated abilities on the field, 1 from everything, 1 from the original.

the ruling seems pretty simple. sakashima becomes Marvin with the name of Sakashima, and the added activated ability, and Marvin gains the new activated ability. this.. isn't complicated

Wouldn't this fall under state based replacement effects? Basically that Marvin might get 2 instances but Sakashima would get only 1.

I feel like the technical rulling for this should be that it creates an infinite loop and result in a draw, but my guess is there will be an update for simplicity sake that results in it only applying

I would imagine that the ability to get all activated abilities isn't an activated ability itself, so it won't give Marvin and Sakashima anymore than one of each ability

Would Sakashima not gain the ability of “Marvin gains all activated abilities” but due to it not being Marvin all it would do is have the added ability which Marvin would get? It seems pretty clear.

Wouldn’t Marvin copy Horseshoe Crab’s ability… which would let Marvin pay 1 blue mana to untap “Horseshoe Crab” (aka Marvin can’t use it to untap itself because it’s still Marvin, not Horseshoe Crab)?

sbas are checked once, to prevent replacement effects from infinitely recurring. I think they should get 2 copies of abilities, because they see each other once. that'll be hard to put in cr tho 🤔

We will probably need a new rule giving each instance of activated abilities on cards their own "Highlander" category to prevent overflow conditions. Arena will certainly sort it out. Arena saves.

I would assume that either each would get 2 instances of the ability, one from the source and one from each other, or the one that etb 1st would get 1 and the the one that etb 2nd would get 2🤷♂️

Okay. After looking it up, this has already been solved. You end up with an original Marvin that sees a third creature with an activated ability. Then you have Sakashima see two creature with 1/?
