@therealveronika_: Who wants to face reality? It was during our generation that life became too expensive, too hard, too unattainable for many. We were pushed towards getting degrees that hold almost no value or hold value but you're in debt for the rest of your life. We are in self-preservation and survival mode all the time so our inner child won't suffer at the realities. Just my thoughts. What doy you think? #millennial #thoughts #conversationstarters #latina #boricua #nuyorican
Spot on. I’m 67. Trust me…hang onto your inner child and playfulness. You will NEED her. Love your content.

Millennials didn’t “refuse to grow up”—they grew up faster than they should have, without the safety net of stability. The inner child isn’t something they’ve outgrown; it’s someone they’ve brought along for survival. In a world that can be cold and demanding, that inner child is the source of their softness, humor, imagination, and hope. So we keep them. 💜

As Gen X we had to grow up faster which makes it seem like we are more serious. We just learned how to survive faster than others is all. We want to be goofy but we're just tired. 🤷♂️😂

I think it also has to do with being more open to expressing your inner child and people using this as a tool to heal. I'm 40 and I dress like I'm 20, I don't care it makes me happy

I’m 50. I grew up in NYC in the 80’s and 90’s. I can’t shake the seriousness lol. My bf is your age and he is so carefree and fun! He has rubbed off on me… a lil bit lol.

People use to have generations live in the same home for life, because they were too poor to own their own homes. Now we are reversing back to the times of medieval landlords and peasants

I think it is all you said plus the fact that we have been going to therapy more than older generations and this has allowed us to heal our childhood wounds and allow us to be genuinely ourselves 1/2

I agree whole heartedly. I'm a big kid with responsibilities, but I still prefer to have fun while doing it. We deal with so much bullshit, that we need to make light of it.
