@hayleylombard_: Our kids even from a young age desire purpose and connection. Notice how toddlers want to “do it themselves?” Waiting for nap time to tidy up or telling them to play or watch TV while we cook is essentially teaching them that although they live in the home, the house work & chores is not their responsibility.
