@artofbrit: This entire journey started when I was just a silly little 19 year old kid stepping into my first architecture studio class. Little did I know that 7 years later I would’ve experienced so much and changed course so many times. I imagined that I would’ve been done with my five year degree at 25 and gone on to not be an architect 💀(I didn’t actually want to become one) Interior design has always been my calling ever since I was a scrawny kid. I was slapping neon green polka dots on my bedroom walls and using Autodesk Home-Styler to design my princess suite in my parents’ house. Fast forward 17 years later and I’m actually on the cusp of finishing my undergrad degree in the thing that made my eyes light up as a kid. It 300% looks a lot different than what I imagined it to be- technical drawings, code requirements, occupant loads etc- but it makes me extremely happy to know that soon I will be able to call myself a professional at that fun little thing. It took me much longer than I expected but I have zero regrets, only experiences.
