anime in the 80s and 90s was so rich, so mysterious, really made you want to draw or play interesting games, go to interesting places. everything being hand-drawn and painted made it so deep

tbh the cg in a animated anime is awful it always looks out of place, I ether prefer well done 3d animation like Appleseed and final fantasy 7 or fully animated, I watched seed before the new Gundam movie and the remastered og anime deadass looked better than the movie just from having been purely drawn besides the archangel, sometimes it does blend well when minimally done like in unicorn but having the suits be 90% 3d looks terrible except for fast scenes where you can't see that it looks 3d 💀
