Don't get an old car or you'll be spending a fortune maintaining or fixing it. Had a metro, nightmare ended up failing MOT for rust after 2 years.

In all seriousness my mini is Tax/MOT free, £150 a year to insure, does >40mpg, it’s ULEZ compliant (exempt) and parts are cheap as chips… its awesome

Yeah but doesn’t classic / specialist car insurance normally have like massive restrictions on like miles, where it’s stored, can’t be a primary vehicle etc
