The system failed these men, they didn't deserve such harsh sentencing given the circumstances under which the crime was committed. The mere fact that critical info was left out the case the second time around and the jurors was only given the options of first degree or no murder speaks volumes! the jury had no choice but to give them that sentencing, very well orchestrated.
