A higher ratio rises faster. If your eyeball was closer to a 1:1:1 then it would rise way faster than a 1:4:3 ratio. I’m interested if your other starter rose.

the higher the feed ratio means you made more food for the starter to eat. It takes longer. The 1:1:1 is a standard 4 hour peak. The 1:4:4 ratio will take closer to 8 hours to peak

But I’ve also found that the less starter the longer it takes. Like if I use most of my starter and scrape the sides and feed again and have more flour and water than starter it takes double time
