Almost a year since mum slipped away at 89.She was angry and aggressive for 7 yrs & only 5 stone for the last few months. It was hard to remember that for 82 yrs of her life she WASN’T like that 💔

My parents wanted to spare themselves from this horrible, inevitable decline of Alzheimer’s and chose euthanasia (together, holding hands). We are at peace with their decision 🥲

We were fortunate my MIL got an infection so this stage was quick. That sounds awful but it was best for her to go quickly. My bed bound Dad has now been diagnosed less than a year later

I’m so sorry. This sounds so hard to witness. Is this because her wishes were not clear? I am worried we will have to experience this if he goes in a facility.

that last stage that started about 3 months before my nan died was awful, watching my nan be a shell of her former self sitting there just repeating 3 sentences/questions 😔😪
