Hey there, Mazda technician here! This is a somewhat common engine issue, that is the head of one of the bolts that holds the crank shaft girdle onto the block, we do see them snap off fairly often.

I know people complain about the prices they pay to get things done at the dealership but I’d rather take my car to them than some shady mechanic … you get what you pay for sometimes

When I was broke, I used jb weld to keep my coil in (kept blowing out due to bad threads) I sold that bike and 3 years later the dude still rides daily and has no issues. Jb weld is magic to broke me

Dat hammering sound is due to lack of lubrication, engine can still be saved if the oil pan is changed
