In my PhD, I started working for a professor who studies optical coherence theory and took his coherence course… and forgot to include actual coherence functions on the test. He laughed a lot!

I might have gone to a professor for a project, proceeded to make a absolut fool of myself because I did not know any concept in their explanation of the project, and still got it ! Great project now

We once found a pegmatite full of pink tourmaline. I said the color looked like ham and should we call it a pigmatite. I got hit with a rock.
