I got dropped when I was a flyer as a freshman school cheerleader because my bases didn’t like that I made the high school team instead of the middle school team as a level 4 cheerleader.

The sport can be a great sport. But finding the gym that is healthy and safe should be priority over how many Worlds titles they won. I noticed a difference between USA and Canadian gyms.

I never did cheer but I did other sports with all girls and I have had very similar experiences regarding toxic teammates and coaches while being targeted for no reason. I had quit those sports 😕

Had a college coach who didn’t care for her athletes but wanted us to win. Especially when it came to injuries for those who weren’t her favorites… made me lose my love for cheer and hurt my body
