I think all of us moms struggle with this! I stopped giving my son anything with any dyes in it not just the red because I’ve noticed that when he has any type of dye his behavior is terrible 😭

We put stuff they love. Let them pick out what they like, after learning they trade or ends up in trash. So we send salami cheese crackers fruit, so many yummy choices , but ask them.
