I invited a relative and a plus one. She couldn't go, so she told her granddaughter to go with her fiance. I actually called her & explained that's not how wedding invitations work.

I love my friends, but traveling to and navigating an international destination wedding alone is mentally draining and expensive especially when you watch all of your other friends get to make a fun trip out of it with their SOs.

The cool thing about it being YOUR wedding is you can do whatever you want. People don’t NEED to bring someone to a wedding lol some people have small weddings with no plus ones at all

Been there, with my daughter’s wedding, no plus ones for sure. Then for every invitee I asked myself ‘do I want to pay £150 for them to attend’ and that cut my list considerably!!!
