My mom said wouldn’t be coming to my wedding because she had nothing to wear. She also never came to my graduation. Or when I was in the hospital. She never cared I was just there to help her.

Many of us who grew up with chaotic trauma, get used to chaos and become comfortable with it because that’s all we’ve known, due to this many of us become ADDICTED to being the rescuers of drama!

My mom sat in her car at my wedding and wouldn’t come out and then left right after. She disowned me after I had my second child. I haven’t seen her in 21 years.

I feel this with my own mom but then my sister went on to be the same way. She passed away 2 years ago and I finally felt like she was at peace.
