iirc Juno has a little AOE on them that gives the boost too. so you don't have to stand so far behind the team. you can be in the middle ring, boosted to the ring, ring resets speed

You actually don’t have to hit them with the projectile. The projectile just needs to PASS them. So if you shoot it from behind them you don’t need to hit them just make sure it passes them.
