I always freeze any leftover stuff from seafood, chicken and steak. And then I take it out of the freezer on trash day. That way I don’t get maggots or the really bad smell.

Ugh. It seems like our trash is like that every week no matter how carefully we wrap it. One thing I do when I have seafood stuff in the trash is that I bag it up tightly and put it in the freezer.

I haven’t had power or water in my house since the 27th and the earliest they can get it back is the 4th but even then they aren’t sure so I’m definitely gonna be needing to follow this tutorial!! 💚

We line ours with a 65 gallon trash bag that gets taken every trash day. No more maggots! It was a huge issue for us too

Here in the UK we have bin sacks that are big enough for these bins (trash cans) it helps contain the rubbish. We also have a separate bin for food from other rubbish/garbage❤️
