I’ve always said that if you managed a McDonald’s, you probably have received more management training than most managers in fortune 500 companies

I took a management role based on them training me. 0 training happened and it was awful. Lost so much faith in management actually caring about things.

don't you have separated professional and leadership careers? in my company you can be promoted to professional-lead without hr-responsibilities.

No organization or company I've seen teaches leadership. You just have to figure it out on your own...🤷🏽♂️

They offered me management from Lead, I started looking around and asked our VP if she'd be my reference. They suddenly came up with the Principal title that paid more than manager & a retention bonus

Yea the idea of promoting a non leader to management is both a necessity and a massive mistake all at once

Salaries should be high enough to stop working at 35, and only people who want to work will keep at it

I quit my last job after they promoted me. I didn't want to be promoted. I just wanted to do my job, without taking care of others. The company had terrible communication skills. No one even asked me.
