Not news I like giving...... but unfortunately Sookie passed away last Wednesday July 23rd due to a brain tumor. There was no indication to her having a brain tumor 3 days prior to her passing. We originally thought she had GVS but her symptoms only continued to worsen. I'm still very much in shock at how quickly it happened and deeply saddened. Sookie was so full of life and energy and I made the decision to keep her based on her crazy outgoing personality. ❤️❤️ She will be deeply missed. I just hope she knew how much i loved her and that during those last 3 days I was doing everything I could to save her. 😔 I want to thank my mom Michelle Lehmkuhler for staying up all night with me so that i didn't have to go through this alone, I love you. And I also want to say thank you to the very kind stranger from the Wellington facebook group who came over at 4 in the morning with a stretcher so that we could safely get her up a flight of stairs and into my mom's vehicle to get her to the emergency vets office. She was having back to back seizures and there was no way I could carry a 70lb dog safely up those stairs. She was even kind enough to ride with us to the vet and waited in the lobby while I said goodbye. I would also like to thank Josh Bartholomew & Emily Stull for also helping me throughout this whole thing.
