I’ve been wanting to try this! Thanks. I changed to powdered detergent and it has made a huge difference for my machine. I use to run the clean cycle on my washer and there would be a ton of suds (1)

Just wipe the excess water on the rubber and the door then leave it open for a while to air out so mold will not develop

I've never had mold in my washer, it's 9 years old. never leave the door closed. it's stated right in the manual

Leave the doors and draws open when your not using you machine this will allow the appliance to dry out.

laundry pods do not create mold neither does fabric softener. the door needs to be open and you need to do a tub clean once a month

I live in a climate with high humidity and we just wipe out that spot with a microfibre cloth after each load and leave the door ajar so it can dry out. Still looks brand new after two years.
