But most excitingly we can now stop the extinction of The Northern White Rhino which has only 2 remaining functionally extinct females left at Ol’ Pejeta in Africa. Colossal Biosciences and Bio Rescue have announced that they have 30 viable Northern White foetuses and a baby calf will be here by 2025. But how is this possible? By using stored sperm and eggs they can create the foetus and can edit the DNA in their labs using dna from museum exhibits to create biodiversity, so the calves will be healthy and unrelated. The Dodo and the Thylacine are being rewilded back after recreation to try and put right some of the damage us humans have done. The Mammoth is a very interesting rewilding project to the Arctic Tundra as it’s believed this new hybrid which has been modified to exist in our warmer environment can help slow down global warming, more to come on that later on in another video.
