Shortly after I got a email from @gduplantis580 or @mondo_duplantis Dad and coach. He said "Great video! This year Mondo jumped 5.80 or better over 10 times and his take-off step was anywhere between 12ft (3.65) to 14ft (4.26) and everything inbetween." This was the year he jumped 6.05 to win the European champs. Moral of the story is I see way too many vaulters and coaches spend too much time working about getting their take-off step perfect when perfection was getting in the way of good enough.
