Pop off the shifter linkage and shift it from the bottom, easiest way to do it

Nice work, only concern with it being milky if he's been in the mud and plugged off the diff vent. I give them a blast of air for peace of mind.

I just replaced a brake caliper because it was covered in gunk like it was leaking i really hope it was the axle seal

Question....If the rear end is drooped down and then you also have it low on the "dipstick", won't the oil level be even lower once the truck is sat back down on the ground?
