So… the tracks still need to “record” to the minidisc player/recorder… so it still needs to transfer the songs at least on realtime. I bet some people didn’t get that part

I remember getting one and they put software in the transfer system that stopped you putting the same mp3 on more than 3 disks. So essentially they installed tracking malware on your computer.

Minidiscs are my preferred way to enjoy full albums. Ipods with are nice and convenient but minidisc players have better sound quality. Sometimes you dont need thousands of songs but intentionallity.

I had a Kenwood bookshelf system that came with a free minidisc player. I thought it was sooo cool, but I didn’t use it much.

I always wished that MiniDiscs would have been more popular in the US, but the music industry was too afraid of people copying songs/albums that they never released much for it here
