in my experience this is incredibly hard, ive been through many relationships all of which they look/reminded me of my first love, but i guess when i found the one (were not dating yet) she is completely different from my ex, nothing about her remind me of my ex and I'm sorry for all of you who had to go through this, but what your saying is true, only when you forget about he/her, only then you can truly let go and be happy.
