mine are Velcro teens. healthy attachment takes some getting used to as the adult when all you wanted was to flee home/your parents. but yes it's a good sign 💖

I hadn’t thought about this yet (mine is 7) but it IS interesting that this generation of parents is (generally) pretty laid back/relatable/caring/sweet/emotionally fluent/into cool music!

I told my kids I spent my childhood dreaming of running away or imagining what it would be like to live with cartoon characters. Mine can’t fathom it, they think it’d be awful to be on their own. 💔
