I believe ALL dogs should be crate trained! Like you said, it gives them a safe space but also of there is ever an emergency & they have to be crated.. they aren’t panicking!

My dogs treat their crates as their rooms. we never close them, but they know they can go to their space and everyone leaves them alone

You should cover her crate with a small blanket or a towel because that will help her feel more secure like she is in a den.

I had 2 Staffies for 14 years and they had a crate. They used it together. They were inseparable. It was always open from the age they stopped chewing (around a year), they chose to use it every day

I love that it’s in a spot she can keep an eye on her human herd, too. My border collie had a favorite spot in the hallway where he could see into all of our rooms ☺️

My collie has free rain but has a crate. Is his only when the kids get to loud he goes in there 🙂 he hurt his leg. Couldn’t walk on it for weeks the crate was brill!! 🙂 crates a fantastic thing

Fantastic advice. Labrador owner for 36 yrs. I’ve always crated them and no child ever allowed in there or to bug them while they relax in there. Never had a Lab with a behaviour issue due to this way

My dogs are fed in their kennels. The kennels are always open. One dog loves to sleep in his kennel. They are 11 and 13. They looooove their kennels.

I wish crate trained my eldest dog so she had her own space out the way. She has a bed she will get in if she wants space. My youngest has a crate and she will go in there when she’s had enough.

I LOVE THIS! Crates are a great training tool and our dogs loved them when they wanted to sleep many times. Especially if we covered them to make it dark.
