Getting testing is so hard and expensive. It's out of reach for so many. I have been fighting for years to get my daughter evaluations. I finally got into a place but I have to pay out of pocket.

Tiktok literally helped me get my twin girls formally diagnosed and made me realize I'm autistic as well. I CANNOT afford a diagnosis, nor can a lot of other people.

Autism is a spectrum disorder though diabetes is not. It’s not a fair comparison at all. I am not autistic but I have some sensory issues like certain noises bother me.

All good points. There’s also an extra layer of complication where paying the $$ and spending the hours for screenings as a high-masking 40+ woman… doesn’t materially change much even if Dxed.
