Rent should not be able to go up more than $250 in 5 years and there should be base numbers they have to stick to. Landlord doesn’t mean tenants pay all your bills plus some.

Idk how homeowners do this without a guilty conscience. The mortgage doesn’t change so just keep it what your payment is, or just a little above.

I lived in NC, in a 3 bedroom 2 bath with a pond and paid 550 monthly. Moved back to my hometown in Tx, 3 bedroom 2 bath townhome is 1466 and goes up $100 yearly with no upgrades

rent is out of control.. like a studio can start at 1500 and go up depending on the city then they want 3x the rent.... who has that kind of money nowadays without roomates???

I work with landlords all the time and find it odd that most of them hate doing anything lamdlord related. They just want money and hate fixing things more than an average person would

There needs to be rent control. It makes no sense that my rent is as much as a mortgage payment. It’s just crazy that prior to Covid, a 1-bedroom started at $1.8k a month and NOW, it’s $2.8k/month
