I had a shop pick leaves off the shop floor, place it on my air filter and show me my "filthy filter"! 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 I said, let me see that, I tapped out the dirt and said look at that, all better!

I had a shop who owed my uncle money and was going to work off his debt by my vehicle and he told me I needed 6 grand in work funny how it was what he owed my uncle. so I had it towed to another shop

1) Had a repair shop tell me it would cost $500 per solenoid plus labor. My car had 2. I called a family member who told me "Order 2 on this site and bring the car to me." Did just that.

Old boss at a shop I worked at would tell us just do the work, they need it anyways. Blew my mind when I first started, I always got a good laugh when the customer refused to pay.

It saddens me that there are mechanics out there that do this. My husband is a mechanic and he will never do work on a car without someone’s approval and a quote. He also gives them a priority list of when things need to get done and what things can wait for a while.

when I paid like 1200 to fix my clutch, the guy said i needed transmission oil which was like 50 dollars more. came to a shop in town and they said I didn't. Was 1200 not enough?

Car center I worked at we didn’t do luxury vehicles. The new manager decided to accept a Mercedes for an oil change. Mechanic who had never worked on one Mercedes before ended up putting oil in the transmission fluid spot. Ended up costing shop $8000 for new engine. Never took in a Mercedes again though, 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Last time I got an oil change at a dealership they brought a salesperson in the waiting room & told me they had a car all ready for me to test drive because mine wasn’t “good” anymore

I had one where you don’t leave your car and the dude bodily hung and shook from my frame to try to tell me the engine supports were failing. His boss and I just stared at each other.

I found a decent mechanic finally and they accept snap credit payments so it really helps. I do Uber and have a ton of mileage on my car. just had to replace shocks and struts it was $1700 😭

my mom took her car for an oil change. then the backseat windows would go up or down every time she turned the car on... it was so annoying. so she brought it back to get them to fix that.

I had my oil changed and the guy noticed something I don’t remember what, I said ugh ok I’ll have my husband look at it, he said oh your husband can do that? I said yeah, he said oh just have him 1/2
