I don’t remember everything from that day, but I do remember a few things: ☀️ It was 1,000,000° outside but we still decided being outside at Iowa state was where we had to have our bridal party photos. Luckily, cold beer and delicious Sammies were waiting on the party bus. And the moments we captured were epic! 👧🏼 Coordinating who had Sadie at all times while constantly moving was “fun” but she was such a champ and hung in there the whole time. 👗I was 18 months postpartum, with just a little bit of the baby weight, but had lost enough that my dress was all the way cinched and still a little too big (and why it started rolling at the top because I had to keep pulling it up) 👰🏻‍♀️ My veil kept falling during the ceremony but my hubby helped hold it up…like he always has held me up through everything. 👯‍♀️ We had the best wedding party that anybody could have had! Seriously…the best. 🎉 We got to have so many family and friends come and join us—some who have passed by now, and I’m thankful we have those moments captured. 🍾 The catering and decorations and venues Were beautifully decorated, and everything went off without a hitch. 💍 But more than anything, I remember those vows that we recited to one other—that we would love and cherish and honor one another in sickness and and health, despite the triumphs and the trials. Yes, there’s been moments when it’s difficult to see through the struggles and long days, but we’ve done it and stuck by those vows. And I can honestly say I love you more than I loved you then. I respect you more than I respected you then. And, above all, I couldn’t imagine a single day without you in my life as my best friend and husband.
