Put him down.Pits are notorious for attacking people,family, etc.&often times to the death. Consider yourself extremely lucky—THIS time.Do NOT give him another chance to do this to U or ANY one else

Did he have a seizure? My pit had a seizure & he was VERY aggressive when he came out of it. The vet said he was disoriented. He didn’t have another one for 2 years…

Years ago we had our pit mix suddenly go crazy. attacking anything and anyone that got near him, after a lifetime of gentle loving dog. He had an aneurism.

Speaking from experience…it will happen again and it may not end as well the next time. Luckily my vet was very supportive and agreed with my decision.

The shaking: could it have been a seizure? When my pit had seizures, immediately after she was aggressive because she was scared and confused and didn’t recognize us.
