I simply chalk it up to I’m paying for the convenience. That’s it, that’s all.

tips are corporate ways to not pay their employees a living wage. we have to stop feeding into this system

Yes tip, it's a gig job like instacart, uber eats, door dash etc. Most are delivered by spark drivers.

I think the tipping culture has gone way too far, so I do cash only And it's based off my judgment. if you did your job and you were nice, I'd tip you $5, but if you're locked in 10/10 service. $10

I tip, they do all the shopping driving and literally put it in my garage for me. And I do big weekly hauls. Plus I live 20 miles from Walmart.

Sadly Walmart uses spark drivers(3rd party). They don’t work at Walmart. They rely on tips.

It's a gig job so you should tip. Sometimes drivers won't even pick up your order if you don't. Cash tips are better though!

I can't afford to tip a percentage of my bill, so I use the free curbside pickup.

Do you think $98/year actually covers the cost of doing your shopping for you and driving it to you the same day? Grocery margins are very thin to begin with.

I do Kroger delivery. Their drivers are Kroger employees and tips are not allowed. In my area, Walmart delivery drivers do not work for Walmart.

I’m over tipping. I have coworkers tell me they were raised on tips and I’m like good for you, good thing you’re not relying on tips right now. Tipping is why I don’t like going out. It’s too much

My rule is that if they make a tipped hourly wage, definitely tip. If not, it really depends on service and not based on a percentage of the order

it is insane but Wal-Mart doesn't pay them a living wage and they put that on us leaving them a tip. Those laws about their pay need to be changed

I think Walmart is adding tip options so they can justify not paying their staff $3 more an hour. And if you tip on a card, it will get reported to the IRS so they can avoid an audit.

I tip Amazon grocery delivery but 5-7 dollars, MAYBE 10 if it's a lot of heavy stuff they need to carry to door (drinks, dry goods, etc.) Instacart same but I go up to 15 as they shop for me too.

I thought tipping was to cover businesses that pay their employees low wages & cover the rest in tips. This puts that reasoning on its head. Walmart should be paying to their employees more

In home delivery is included and tipping is not allowed. You just have to get a delivery in a certain timeframe. You went with the faster option.

The tip doesn’t go to Walmart, it goes to the poor door dash driver that Walmart has partnered with. They use their own car and pay for their own gas. Walmart might offer $5 if you’re lucky.

I’ve survived off of tips. I’ve bartended & servered for years. I made $2.13 hr. I tip well to “pay it forward”. BUT jobs where they made a livable wage?? GET OUT of here. It’s total bullshit.

No, you don’t necessarily have to. They’re not Walmart employees, usually the drivers 90% of the time are very incompetent I used to work for the company. 90% incompetent & 10% competent
