OK! Wild theory! What if Liam was protected when he died ! I’ll explain. In iron flame chapter 46, Xaden is explaining that each of the children of the rebellion was given a stone, which was imbued with a rune supposed to protect them. It was given to them by colonel Mairi, who was Liam and Sloane’s mom. Xaden says that his has been used, but what if Liam didn’t use his and he had it on him when he died so he was protected and he’s somewhere and we don’t know it, but he was protected by the rune and he might not be dead??!
