Yeah, us hyper-mobiles shouldn’t do stretches. It can in fact do the opposite. The best thing to do is find a PT that is knowledgeable and learn where your end is, since we over stretch.

Your body is trying to protect you. Us hypermobiles have to be really careful not to over stretch. Find a PT who has HeDS clients.

I’m a 50 year old Pilates teacher and yeah even I have issues. A lot of times it’s the things you do outside of the work out. I notice if I sit too much I’ll feel worse.

38 here and I went and still go through it. I was the exact same way as a kid and through adulthood. Try to support your hormones bc I find the change after 35 can be frustrating like this.

I don’t think the problem is your age. As a ballerina I can tell you, if stretching is not done properly, it can have the opposite effect! And rolling after class helps the recovery too
