I went to a sober living without any use after a mental health facility because I needed somewhere to go and pick my life back up after DV and an attempt. I needed community and support DV shelters dont have.

Mine was like 3000 monthly in Chicago luckily I got a scholarship so it wasn’t that much but it also was a rlly nice building with master baths and room and full kitchens and balcony’s for 4 per room

That’s not scamming, that’s called being resourceful. If you aren’t a DV victim or willing to lie about being one: sober living or the dangerous co Ed shelter are the only option.
